Chunzhuo Wang
I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the eMedia Research Lab, ESAT-STADIUS, KU Leuven. I received my PhD in September 2024 from ESAT, KU Leuven, in collaboration with the Life Science Department at IMEC. Prior to that, I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC).
My research interests include AI for Health (AI4Health), Sensor Fusion, Time Series Data Processing, and FMCW Radar.

- 2025.02: Our paper, “Eating Speed Measurement Using Wrist-Worn IMU Sensors Towards Free-Living Environments”, has been awarded Best Paper Award in 2023-2024 by IEEE-EMBS (IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society) Benelux Chapter.
- 2025.01: Invited to serve as a referee for the IEEE EMBC 2025, to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark.
- 2024.12: Invited to attend the International Young Scholar Forum at BUPT in Beijing, China.

- 2024.08: Co-organized a workshop for the International Conference on Diet and Activity Methods (ICDAM 2025), which will be held in Toronto, Canada.
- 2024.08: Our paper, titled “Detection of Eating Gestures in Older Persons Using IMU Sensors with Multi-Stage Temporal Convolutional Network”, was accepted for publication in the IEEE Sensors Journal.
